Sisterhood of the World blogger award

Hamlette tagged me for the Sisterhood of the World bloggers award. Thank you so much Hamlette!

Here are her questions:

1. Do you like westerns?
I... think I do. If you look at my answer to question 2. But I don't really watch many Western movies, maybe something I should remedy?

2. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
As a really young kid I remember many Dutch ones, but the first TV show I really started 'fangirling' for was Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman. I would collect all the pictures of it that I could find and gush over the episodes with my friends.

3. Are there any salad dressings you dislike?
Not really, I don't like anything to spicy, but otherwise every salad dressing is fine. Though I often make my own with some oil, vinegar, lemon juice, fresh herbs if I have them, yoghurt and maybe some honey.

4. Do you call carbonated beverages "soda" or "pop" or something else?
Hehe, in The Netherlands we call it 'frisdrank' or, a more old-fashioned term 'prik'!

5. What's the farthest from home you've ever been?
To Canada, the Toronto and Ottawa area. I went there last summer and it was my first time outside of Europe.

6. Have you ever eaten a peanut-butter-and-onion sandwich?
No, and I'm not sure I would be interested. Although, I do make peanut sauce for stir-fry dishes, so in theory it could work with onions. I have eaten peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches though.

7. Do you like roller coasters?
To be honest, I can't remember the last time I was in one. But as a kid I wasn't a big fan of them, always a little bit scared!

8. Do you subscribe to any magazines?
Yes, the British magazine LandLove, which is about rural life, nature, animals, gardening etc. I often get recipe and craft ideas from this magazine. Also the magazines from the Dutch society for biology 'BioNieuws' and for the Dutch society for protection of birds 'Vogels'.

9. Do you wear a wristwatch?
Yep, have been wearing the same for about twelve year now, it was a birthday gift from my parents.

10. When do you generally get up in the morning?
Around 8. I start work at 9 and am lucky enough to live really close to my work. In the weekend I usually get up around 10, but sometimes have an epic lie-in until 12 when I'm really tired. Sleeping is the best :-)

I'm not going to tag anyone today, because I have the idea most people in my blogging 'circle' have already been tagged.

  1. Another Dr. Quinn fan!!!! That's been my favorite show for years, and likely always with be. ;-) I've grown up watching it, but it wasn't until about three years ago that I actually started getting really crazy about it.

    1. I haven't seen any episodes in quite a while, I would like to rewatch it, but there are so many other things to watch!

  2. I'm with you on the peanut butter sandwiches! If I think about it as a stir-fry, it might work. Peanut butter and banana is delicious, though! And sometimes I add honey--yum!
